Please keep your eyes open…Sophie was picked up we believe in a parking lot at the Great Northern Montana Resort after an irresponsible landlord let her out of our locked VRBO home we had we rented while we were out day hiking. Sophie made her way across Highway 2 in the West Glacier area on August 15th…then 8 weeks later there were (6) sightings in the Evergreen area. She must have escaped whoever had snatched her….so… after six weeks of hunting season, we believe Sophie, very scared of the shotgun noise left the strand of woods at the Boys and Girls Club around Nov. 1st and may be traveling back in the direction of West Glacier…. There was the recent POSSIBLE sighting on Columbia Falls Stage Road by Kelly Road on Dec. 7th, Thursday at 4:30-5 pm close to dusk.
According to the professional rescue folks…Sophie is in full Survivor Mode. She is seeking food, water and shelter and avoiding all contact with predators (people included)…therefore traveling at dusk.
Please KEEP your eyes open and report any sightings so we may call our volunteers to put out LIVE TRAPS. There are a lot of hiding areas so of course this is very difficult. We pray everyday this is the day we find SOPHIE.
We really don’t know if this is Sophie, but it was a VERY lost dog that looked like Sophie. SO we follow every lead.
Thank you in advance for your help and passing along the message and flyers.

KittyMOM’s Rescue Organization is sponsoring a winter cat shelter workshop on Sunday, October 30th, 1pm to 4pm at the Kalispell Elks Club, 1820 Hwy 93 S.  All materials are provided.  Anyone who cares for barn cats, feral cats or stray cats is invited to help assemble the shelters and take home what you need.  Cat food will be provided for those that need it. Volunteers will be there to answer questions about trapping and spaying and neutering.   For more information call Sassi at 756-6907.

KittyMOM’s Rescue is a local non-profit, 501(3)c organization that is working hard in our community to keep our cats safe and warm this winter.

KittyMOM’s Rescue has once a month adoption events at the Aquarium Shop in Kalispell!  They are the last Saturday each month.  All kittens and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, litterbox trained and healthy.  The adoption fee is $55.00.  We will always take a kitten or cat back if it doesn’t work out for any reason.  We have a short application form and it is very important for us to place the right cat with the right family so those kitties never have to be rehomed again.  For more info call Darcy at 752-4460.  You can view our adoptable cats and kittens on the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kittymoms.rescue
